The French Traveler is happy to put you in touch with past participants of our programs, who come from all over the United States and even American schools in other countries. They teach various levels of French from beginning levels to Advanced Placement in different kinds of schools: middle schools, high schools, community colleges, immersion programs, public, private, religious. Many of them have come back two, three, and even four times! Read below to see what some of them have to say about their experiences.

"[Now that I am back in school], I am already using what I learned with my classes. My colleagues read my paper and one of them was so inspired she is including immigration as part of her French V curriculum."

“This workshop was a gift to me this summer. It was a joy to visit cities new to me, to accept the challenge of speaking only French all the time, and to immerse myself in French culture with others who are also passionate Francophiles. It helped reaffirm what I hold important as a French teacher.”
Joan Ilstrup, 2004
Monticello HS, Buffalo, MN
"[Our instructor] is such an inspiration! She is always fun, interesting, and absolutely on target in terms of what I want to know. I love the readings assigned and the fact that she doesn't feel obligated to stay on topic if we need to branch off elsewhere."
Karen Altman, 2005
Council Rock HS North, Newtown, PA
“I wanted to have time to assess the question of professional value after three months of teaching, so I waited to send you this form until now (Nov. 2002). I have found ALL the information and knowledge to be useful. I'm able to share so many cultural experiences with all my students, and my experiences have made them more interested than ever in going to France, studying its culture and improving their proficiency in the French language.”
Suzanne McNeal, 2002, 2004
Lamoille HS, Hyde Park, VT
"Un stage comme celui-ci devrait être obligatoire pour tous les profs de français. Tout ce qui était sur l'itinéraire était vraiment superbe. En plus, passer quinze jours avec un groupe qui a la même passion, voilà une valeur difficile à mesurer."
